National Safe Work Month – October 2019

October marks the start of National Safe Work Month. This year’s Safe Work Month will be focusing on falls from heights as well as exposure to silica dust which are two areas that have the highest risks of injuries.

 

Safe Work Month was established to ensure all workers come home safely. Since the launch of Safe Work Month, there has been a steady decline in the rate of work-related fatalities as well as workers compensation claims. Throughout the month, Safe Work will be hosting free workshops to educate Employers on how to reduce the amount injuries within the workplace.
